Mary Curley

Mary E. Curley (Pantano), a beloved resident of Dorchester, peacefully passed away at home Wednesday May 31, 2023, surrounded by her loving children. She fought a courageous battle against cancer, displaying immense strength and grace throughout her journey.

Born on April 7, 1945, Mary was the cherished wife of Kenneth G. Curley for over 50 years. Sadly, Kenneth preceded her in death, passing away in January of 2022. Their love was a testament to commitment, devotion, and partnership.

Mary was an extraordinary woman, adored by all who had the privilege of knowing her. Her daughter, Christine O’Connor of Quincy, and her son Kenneth M. Curley and his partner Suzanne Dagenais of Dorchester held a special place in her heart. Mary's love extended to her three grandchildren, Lauryn White, Brian O’Connor, and Nicholas O’Connor, all of Quincy. She took great joy in watching them grow, sharing in their triumphs, and offering unwavering support and guidance.

Throughout her life, Mary was a loyal and steadfast friend, a beacon of light in times of darkness. Her caring nature knew no bounds, as she tirelessly cared for everyone she loved. Mary's generosity and compassion touched countless lives, leaving an indelible impact on those fortunate enough to have known her.

Mary's passing leaves a void in the hearts of her family and friends that will remain unfilled for quite some time. Her memory will be cherished, and her legacy of love and kindness will continue to inspire all who were touched by her presence.

The family will hold a memorial service, for both Mary and Ken, at Cedar Grove Cemetery on Monday, June 12th at 10 AM. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made to a cancer research foundation of your choice, in honor of Mary's enduring spirit and her fight against the disease that ultimately claimed her life.

Mary E. Curley (Pantano) will forever be remembered as a remarkable woman who embodied love, strength, and selflessness. May she rest in eternal peace, knowing she made a lasting difference in the lives of those she touched.
