Francis T Hennigan

HENNIGAN, Francis T. (Frank) of Quincy, age 81 passed away on October 14, 2021 at the Pat Roche Hospice in Hingham after fighting a long illness.  He was predeceased by his beloved wife and soul mate of 30 years, Rachel D Ray and by his parents, Thomas B Hennigan and Bridget Shannon Hennigan.  He leaves behind his sister Patricia Hennigan of Milton, his brothers Thomas R Hennigan and wife Marylyn Hennigan of Quincy, and Kevin Hennigan and wife Marsha Hennigan of Houston TX.  Frank is also survived by many loved nieces, nephews, grandnieces, grandnephews and cousins.  Frank was a graduate of English High in Boston and worked for many years as a transportation specialist for the MBTA.  Frank was a gentle soul who enjoyed sketching, writing science fiction and researching the gangster history of Boston.  He and Rachel enjoyed their many excursions to Provincetown and Salem and participating in the annual holiday festivities of the seasons.  A private service of Thanksgiving and Tribute will be held at the Hamel Lydon Chapel and Cremation Service of MA, 650 Hancock Street, Quincy MA.  Memorial donations may be made in Frank’s name to The Pat Roche Hospice Home, 86 Turkey Hill Ln, Hingham, MA 02043 or to NVNA and Hospice, 120 Longwater Drive, Norwell, MA 02061.
