Carol Cooper Obituary

Carol Cooper, 79, of Quincy passed peacefully at her residence on Monday June 27, 2022.

Born in Milton and raised in Quincy, Carol graduated from Quincy High School in 1960. She was a longtime Norwell resident where she raised her family before returning to Quincy in 2000. She spent the beginning of her working years in Banking before she stayed home to raise her family. Later, she became a home health aide for many years until she retired in 2020.

Carol loved reading and watching old TV shows while still keeping up with local current events.

Loving mother of Matthew J. and his wife Carolyn Cooper of West Roxbury, Pamela Chambers and her husband Tom of Hanson, Brian and his wife Andrea of Weymouth, and Michael and his wife Kelly of Hanson. Grandmother of Nicholas, Jonathan, David, and Tommy Bartley, Sarah Chambers, Amira Cooper, and Chloe and Emily Cooper. Carol is also survived by several step grandchildren. She is the devoted sister of Russell and his wife Nancy Peterson of Boston and Linda Armstrong of South Truro. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

Carol leaves behind her precious companion and best friend, her dog Leo.

Visiting hours will be held at the Hamel-Lydon Chapel 650 Hancock Street Quincy on Saturday July 2 from 11 am – 1 pm. A private graveside funeral service will be held at a later date.

Memorial donations may be made in Carol’s name to a Pet Rescue of the donor’s choice.
